Throughout the event folks can sample traditional Bavarian style music, beers, wines, cider, & foods.

We will offer traditional Bavarian foods including THREE types of brats-(classic mild (white) with a touch of sage, smoked with garlic and onion, extra hot with onion, garlic and enough hot pepper to make your nose run!), Pine Tavern will be serving pretzels and marionberry scones, German Sausage Pizza from The Pizza Cart,  Knödel (dumplings) in 3 flavors-Keberbase-meatloaf, Potato Onion, and a veggie option from Dump City Dumplings, Leberkäse (ground turkey served w/ mustard sauce), Pommes frites (potatoes w/ ketchup & mayo) & more. Desserts from Ida’s Cupcakes (voted Best of Central Oregon in the The Source poll) who will be serving a Guinness cupcake and Bailey’s cupcakes made special for Oktoberfest! Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte, (black forest cake w/ cherries) Guilty pleasures will include tasty Kettle Korn and cotton candy.

16 taps of local brewed love to try!!! We will be featuring local brews from several of our Central Oregon breweries serving their best Oktoberfest brews and other ales. Breweries include Bend Brewing Company, Boneyard Beer, Crux Fermentation ProjectDeschutes BreweryPhat Matt’s Brewing Company, Silver Moon Brewing, and Worthy BrewingThe Wine Shop & Beer Tasting Bar will be serving up German and Austrian wines! European inspired cider from Atlas Cider Company.

All beer servings are pint pours of brew! You must purchase a Bend Oktoberfest stein to try the brews. THIS year we have new designs for our beverage vessels. We’ll have the 2013 yellow steins, limited edition ceramic steins, and VERY limited edition 2013 Oktoberfest Silipints!*

COSTUME CONTEST – Contestants compete in fun games to show off their costumes and Oktoberfest spirit.


MEDIEVAL SWORDPLAY- Join Knights of Veritas for an interactive presentation on the historical martial arts of Germany in the middle ages. Our authentically weighted and detailed steel swords and armour provide an eye-opening experience to our audiences. Exciting hands-on sharing allows the audience the rare opportunity to handle the weapons and try on the armour!

DoubleTree by Hilton Oktoberfest Games will feature absurd games of skill for prizes including yodeling, hammerschlagen (race to hammer a nail into a custom table), a stein holding contest, a costume contest, tricycle races, Medieval Swordplay, The Wiener Dog Parade, and the Wiener Dog Races.

Friday & Saturday night Kids Art Event
Parent’s Night Out at: Earth*Fire*Art, 119 Oregon Avenue.

Parents will be able to drop off their kids aged 3-10 for an evening of paint your own pottery with an Under The Sea theme. Kids will get pizza, juice, & get to decorate their own cookie for dessert. It is only $25 per child includes everything including pottery and food. It’ll be a limit of 16 kids each night so sign up NOW!

Oktoberfest is the only event held in Downtown Bend that raises money to help keep Downtown Bend beautiful. It is events like this that help us fulfill our mission – adding to the vitality and success of downtown and its businesses. The Bend Oktoberfest is produced by the Downtown Bend Business Association, a 501 (c)(6) nonprofit organization working to maintain and improve the economic vitality of Downtown Bend. The DBBA works to keep downtown beautiful and is responsible for the flowers, Christmas decorations, banners, sidewalk cleaning, and much more. Thank you for your support!
